Sunday Stash Report – Week #12

My Stash Report is very blah this week due to my attention having to be somewhere other than my quilting this week.  We've had a very sick little boy in our family this past week – our 3-month-old grandson, Hudson.

He was diagnosed with a cold at the doctor’s office last Monday, but couldn’t seem to get better.  Within a few days, instead of getting better he was beginning to have difficulty breathing and developed a pretty nasty cough, so his mom took him back to the doctor.  He was diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus) with complications of pneumonia and double ear infections to add to the mix and promptly admitted to the hospital.  He has been on oxygen and getting IV’s of antibiotics to fight it.  Poor little thing has been such a sweet little trooper through it all!!!

For those – like me – who have never heard of RSV, it is a viral respiratory infection - a very common virus that leads to mild, cold-like symptoms in adults and older healthy children. However, in infants it can become very serious very quickly, as it did in Hudson’s case.  He has been steadily improving each day, and we are hopeful he will be able to come home tomorrow or the next day, and that our world will begin to settle back onto its normal axis here very soon.

So needless to say, my attention has been elsewhere other than the sewing studio this week.  Once the baby is home and we know he is okay, then I will be able to get back into the swing of my life as it normally is. =^..^=

As for my Stash Report this week – no purchases!!!  On the other hand, I didn’t finish anything either, so no usage either.  I know – pretty blah, right?  Here’s the official report:

Used this week:      0 yards
Used YTD 2012:      44.00 yards
Added this week:   0 yards
Added YTD 2012:   60.00 yards
Net Used for 2012: -16.00 yards

How is your stash coming along?  Head on over to Patchwork Times to see how others are doing with theirs.

Hugs & Blessings!
Teresa

  2. It is sad when little ones have to go through illnesses, but happy he is improving and able to come home in a few days. Praying for his continued recovery.

  4. Hope Hudson keeps improving and that your life is back to normal soon. Nothing in, nothing out is not so bad. At least you didn't add to your numbers.

  5. Oh Teresa, Hudson is such a darling little guy! I'm glad he's doing better -- RSV is nothing to mess with. Good job on the no purchases ... and I can't get beyond that because I'm looking at this sweet picture of your grandbaby and he's just darling! LOL!! :)
