Hello from the Red Rooster in sunny Cullman, Alabama! I sure do wish you were all here with us.... we're having such a fun time!!! Can you tell?
We are being spoiled rotten....
Breakfast was absolutely yummy!!! But dinner was pretty good too :*)
Last night we had creme brûlée for dessert - YUM!!!!
A few of us had to sit and relax afterwards :*)
Here are a few of the projects we are working on... Lynn is making pillow cases for her grandsons...
and a Twisted Bargello wall quilt ...
Mary is making a t-shirt quilt for a cousin...
Joanne is thrilled that she got her June Calendar Quilt done before me =^..^=
Betty brought kits to make four Sewn-in-Love quilts for cancer patients...
Michelle is making everyone jealous with her scruptious fabrics... (Shhhh... I am definitely stealing this one when she goes to bed tonight :*)
Carole finished up this gorgeous 3D cardinal wall hanging...
And I'm working on a UFO from last year -
These are the two blocks. Churn Dash Star...
and an Alternate Chain block...
I am working on this project while here because it is straight, pretty mindless sewing. I really would love to see some results from this retreat. I'll get back to something more intense when I get home :*)
I'm making this quilt out of 30's fabrics. I had NONE of these in my stash - not with my love for saturated colors and batiks, right? But my friend Joanne had 2 baskets full of scraps from her Dear Jane and she handed them to me and said use whatever you want. Wow - I did!!! I am having such fun playing with all these sweet little fabrics :*)
Hugs & Blessings!
Teresa

Oh, I remember this place from other photos. Looks way too fun!
ReplyDeleteI hardly have any 30s fabrics, either. Very good of your friend to provide her "scraps."
Boy oh Boy oh Boy -- what delicious food you are being served. You were right - you are being spoiled rotten; AND having too much fun to boot!! Lucky you. Your 30's quilt is coming together nicely. I still have some of those prints too if you need more when you get home, let me know.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pictures. Looks like a WONDERFUL place for a retreat.
Oh my goodness ... what quilty fun you are having!!! And such beautiful work going on around you, too! Have a blast, my sweet friend!!! :)
