This is what my Design Wall looks like this morning. Even with a four-day retreat at the end of the month, I still did not manage to finish the Moonglow quilt top, which was my March UFOChallenge project. I did make very good headway however, so I’m not too terribly disappointed.
I think it will take me another week to finish it up, which unfortunately means a late start on the April UFO project. And that is not good since Judy pulled #10 for April and my #10 is the Aqua Irish Chain Shop Hop quilt. That is a project that is barely even started! It will take a lot of work to complete it. * sigh * I have several other commitments and a week of travel this month too.... all of which adds up to the fact that I need to just accept that it is highly unlikely I will meet my April Challenge either – bummer!!!
This is what I currently have complete on Moonglow.
I have all the alternate blocks complete, and only have 4 of the 13 mariner’s compass blocks remaining. See the 4 holes that look like missing teeth? Two of the missing blocks are paper-pieced and ready to be assembled…
I’m hoping to get the 4 blocks done and the 7 borders (really?? Who puts SEVEN borders on a quilt?!?) applied by the end of this coming week. I also need to think about starting my May Calendar quilt. Whew – I’m worn out already and it’s only the first day of the month! :*)
Go to Patchwork Times to see other Design Walls and UFO Challenge projects. I am also linking up with BOM's Away at What a Hoot! as this is a BOM project from 2010.
Have a wonderful week. It is one of my favorite weeks of the year, the week before Easter. It is such a profound week, filled with memories of all that our Saviour did for us so that we can have life with Him forever. I hope you will feel Him close to you this season and feel His love surrounding you in all that you do!!!
Hugs & Blessings!
Teresa
