Here's a little sneak peek with my newest pincushion addition :) Isn't this little kitty just ADORABLE??? Judy is one of my favorite people, and I don't get to see her very often, so you can imagine how tickled I was when she gave me this at Runaway ... and of course you know I treasure it!!!!
I forgot to take a picture of the block by itself, so this is a little rumply :*)
This is one of those quilts where you just keep seeing new and wonderful fabrics everywhere the eye wanders. I couldn't resist draping it over the chair on the porch this morning and enjoying it's vibrancy, along with the peace of the morning and my first cup of coffee :)
Just to remind you - the Soul Searching pattern is designed by Kathy Doughty at Material Obsession and can be found in this book.........pssstttt - it's only $9.99 on Kindle!!!

ReplyDeleteSoul Searching makes up beautifully for "wow" bursts of colour.in a quilt. The new addition to your pin cushions is adorable.
ReplyDeleteSoul Searching is just beautiful! I have the book, so many inspirational quilts in it. I am making a quilt using the cogwheel block. It is all scrappy and I plan to use some chintz fabric from some old curtains as the background. What a combination, but so much fun!

ReplyDeleteAwwww, that kitty pincushion is so adorable ... what a sweet little gift! And your top is gorgeous! I love how the eye wanders and sees so many beautiful fabrics! Your choice of the "background" fabrics was genius! Just enough black to allow the blocks to pop, yet just enough white to not let the background make the quilt too dark. Perfect! I can't wait to see your upcoming post on your retreat!
