I’m excited about starting Barbara's NewFO Challenge project for January!!! Instead of just going down the list 1, 2, 3, etc., I decided to use the same number that Judy pulls for the UFO Challenge. This month, the number is #5, and that means I get to work on “Quilts in Progress”!!! Yeah!!!
I spent a couple of very happy hours yesterday picking out fabrics – what do you think? I’m not completely convinced on these yet, but I'm really itching to start it! May start cutting tonight :*)
This one is small, so I may even have half a chance of finishing it this month – the piecing at least. Quilting, maybe-maybe not. One good thing is that because of the tabs at the top, the pattern recommends using the "envelope" method to join the layers instead of a regular binding. That is not usually a look that I like for quilts, but for this wallhanging I think it works, and it will eliminate the handwork involved in binding!
What are you working on?
Teresa

It all looks good to me Teresa. I'm so glad you're having fun with this "challenge".
ReplyDeleteLove those fabrics!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you. I want to also thank you for your prayers.
Teresa, It's stunning! Love your finish. Where did you find that pattern, or which designer is it? Your creativity and finishes are great as well as your number so far. Keep up the great work. Jane

ReplyDeleteAlso, I have that Calendar Quilt book but I've not started anything yet. Your pics inspired me so maybe I'll get started soooooon!
