PINK is such a happy color!
Does everyone feel like a little girl again
while playing in pink scraps? I certainly do!
Here is what I made today, the last PINK Saturday for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge...
These are my first paper-pieced sections for the Lone Starburst quilt that I decided to make with my rainbow of scraps this year. The design is by Anna at Six White Horses and my quilt inspiration came from this quilt by Curly Boy, Sandy Greenburg, on Flickr .....

I didn't realize until I started pulling the fabrics to cut for these blocks that Curly Boy used a gray text print as the second background - and Wow do I love that!!! I also really love that I just happened to have a wonderful gray text fabric IN MY STASH!! Whoot! Whoot!!!

I am making 8 sections out of each color every month so I'll have a lot of color movement in the final quilt. Since my pink scraps were so limited, I made two sections each from 4 fabrics.
Hopefully I'll be able to use 8 individual fabrics for most of the other colors.

ReplyDeleteOf course you had gray lettered fabric--something you would not be able to find in my stash. I don't think I have mastered enhancement as well as you have! : )
This is a lovely block! The gray text fabric is perfect for framing the star. I can't wait to see the other colored stars as you make them this year.
